For 2015, the Expedition introduces a wide array of advanced driver-assist technologies that make driving the Expedition even more fun, enjoyable, and – more importantly, safer to drive.
At the vanguard of this tech blitz is an available radar-based Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert. It utilizes sensor-based radar technology to help detect when a vehicle is in a driver’s blind spot.
Meanwhile, cross-traffic alter uses radar to help detect approaching vehicles from either side when a driver is backing out of a parking spot or driveway. When this happens, the Expedition’s advanced system can emit an audible warning, as well as a visual cue.
Other new technologies include a standard rearview camera, keyless entry with push-button start, and front and rear parking sensors.
